Embrace Yorkshire and Humber Infant & Children’s Transport Service reaccredited in 2023.


Embrace Yorkshire and Humber Infant & Children’s Transport Service of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England, was awarded full accreditation for the 4th consecutive tenure by the CAMTS Global Board of Directors in October 2023. Embrace has been accredited since 2014.


Embrace provides critical care and specialty care for infants and children with highly skilled physicians

and nurses during fixed wing, rotor wing, and ground transport. The hospital, Sheffield Children’s (NGS)

Foundation Trust, provides the medical teams and worked closely with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust to complete 1,763 ground ambulance transports last year. For greater distances, IAS Medical, based in Darlington, provides a Beechcraft King Air 200 and Specialist Aviation Services LTD provides the AW 169 helicopter for the most time sensitive requests.


Embrace has also contributed to the CAMTS Best Practices of 2020. Embrace not only cares for patients

but is also sensitive to the health and well-being of its medical teams, who care for critically ill infants.

Calls” and “Health and Well-Being Guidelines” in the CAMTS Best Practices 2020. This publication

includes many of the best policies and practices from accredited services and is available through the

www.camts.org website.



Nine Rotor Wing Bases added to CAMTS Global accreditation


Alpha Star Air Ambulance, based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, added nine rotor wing bases to its full accreditation in July, 2023


Founded in 2010, Alpha Star Air Ambulance parent company Alpha Star Aviation Services operates a

fleet of 12 fixed wing aircraft for domestic and international air ambulance and charter flights. They are

also currently operating nine AirBus 145s at the rotor wing bases along with AirBus, Gulfstream, and

Hawker airplanes. Alpha Star Air Ambulance aircraft are staffed with highly skilled medical personnel selected for each flight based on the needs of the patient. The team includes specialty trained flight physicians, paramedics, and nurses.


Alpha Star is licensed by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

under Part 121SU to operate fixed wing air ambulance flights (GACA Cert # STTAC048). All requests for

domestic and international air medical transportation are facilitated by the 24/7 Patient Relations

Center located at the Alpha Star Aviation Operations Center in Riyadh.
